What is the difference between coaching and mentoring?

Answer: Coaching focuses on helping a leader improve specific skills and reach personal & professional goals. Mentoring is usually about offering pin-point advice. Coaching is more about asking the right, thought provoking questions and guiding leaders to the best actions and solutions.

What is the role of a sponsor in executive coaching?

Answer: The sponsor is usually the person or organization that funds the coaching sessions. In the case of executive coaching, this is often a senior leader, HR department, or company that believes the coaching will benefit the employee or team. The sponsor may set initial goals for the coaching, but the day-to-day work and focus are between the coach and the coachee.

How do stakeholders benefit from executive coaching?

Answer: Stakeholders, like managers or HR, benefit from executive coaching because it can improve leadership skills, team performance, and decision-making. When coaching is effective, it can lead to better outcomes for the entire company, such as increased productivity, better communication, and stronger leadership. Can executive coaching be done virtually or only in person?

Answer: We offer both virtual and in-person coaching. Virtual coaching sessions can be conducted via phone or Zoom, making it flexible and convenient. For in-person coaching, our Signature Package includes the initial and final sessions at no additional cost, as long as they take place within the continental U.S. (excluding Alaska and Hawaii). While in-person meetings are available, they are not required due to the busy schedules and complex travel needs of executives.

Can I get personal coaching if I’m not a C-suite executives?

Answer: Yes, executive coaching is available to more than just C-suite executives. We also work with Vice Presidents (VPs), Directors, and other senior leaders who are looking to develop their skills. Coaching can be especially helpful for those in executive transitions—whether stepping into a new role or adjusting to new responsibilities.
